Lauren Collins is a senior Finance major at Penn State’s Smeal College of Business and the founder of Rooted Organics, a microplastic free tea brand launched in February 2026. After learning that many conventional tea bags release billions of microplastics per cup, she built Rooted to offer a fully plastic-free alternative. The company sells direct-to-consumer through its website and TikTok Shop, where she focuses on product integrity and strong brand positioning. In addition to building Rooted, she has secured a return offer in investment banking, bringing a strong financial and operational lens to scaling her company.
